Rakesh Varre’s ‘Maya Lady’ Set for Grand Worldwide Release on November 13
Young and talented actor and passionate producer Rakesh Varre is gearing up for the release of his latest film, Maya Lady. He plays the lead role in the film and is also producing it under his banner, Crazy Ants Productions. Rakesh previously earned appreciation for backing content-driven films such as Evvarikee Cheppoddhu and Peka Medalu. With Maya Lady, he is now set to bring another interesting film to audiences.
Directed by Prasankar, the film features Madhumita Sarcar as the female lead. Maya Lady is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on November 13. The film’s trailer launch event was held in Hyderabad today.
Art Director Bhargava Noundla said, “I previously worked with Rakesh garu on Jithender Reddy, and this is my second film with him. I thank Rakesh garu and our director, Prasankar garu, for giving me this opportunity. As a relationship progresses, people experience several feelings, including happiness, anger and many others. We believe this is an emotion-driven subject that will connect with audiences. Along with good music and entertainment, the film also carries a small message.”
Hero and Producer Rakesh Varre said, “I am coming before you after a gap of two years. Following Peka Medalu and Evvarikee Cheppoddhu, I spent considerable time thinking about the kind of stories I should choose next. This time, I wanted to make a proper commercial film while retaining the distinctive storytelling style associated with our banner. We wanted to create a film with strong family elements and music, along the lines of Manmadhudu, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and Ninne Pelladatha.
“It has been a long time since we experienced a love story with the vibe of Kushi on screen. Personally, I have been missing that genre and wondered why we shouldn’t attempt something along those lines. While action films are being made one after another, we decided to explore a refreshing genre. Around that time, Prasankar was working on a script, and it took us nearly a year to develop and finalise it.
“Once the script was finalised, we felt that music would play a crucial role, so we approached Vishal Chandrashekhar. He immediately liked the story and agreed to come on board. The heroine’s character has almost as much screen time as the hero’s, so we wanted to find the right performer for the role. That is when Madhumita joined our team.
“I felt that producing the film myself would allow me to bring this story to the screen without compromising on its vision. We spent more than what my market might normally demand because I strongly believed this script had the potential to become a blockbuster. I felt this was a film that could further establish me as an actor, so I put in my complete effort as a producer.
“At a time when audiences are watching several action films filled with intense violence, I believe a film like Maya Lady will offer a refreshing change. I hope everyone enjoys it. If this film becomes a big hit, I will come back with another good film. Its success is very important to my career.
